We had such a lovely time when mums, nans and grans came to a tea party to celebrate Mothers’ Day. Those who came enjoyed activities with their children which included planting geranium seeds and painting flowers.
Of course, there was a lot of cake to be eaten and tea to be drunk. Everyone had a relaxing afternoon chatting to each other and the staff, which was lovely because sometimes there is very little chance to catch up with news in our busy lives.
We had some kind comments made by the mums as to how it was lovely to sit and chat whilst their children played together, and that they would be sad when September came as their children would be going to school. This is a sad fact of life, but we do enjoy our times together with the children and it is always good to get the parents involved too, whenever possible!
